Jeffrey Simpson, Jr. (Grand Forks Co. jail)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Bond is set at $1 million for a Grand Forks man who made his initial appearance in court Monday afternoon in connection with an exchange of gunfire with Grand Forks police last Friday.
Jeffrey Simpson, Jr. faces a dozen felony counts and three misdemeanors, including burglary, two counts of domestic violence, terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, four counts of attempted murder, and three counts of reckless endangerment with extreme indifference.
Simpson was arrested during the execution of a high risk search warrant in the 3300 block of Primrose Court S. Neither Simpson nor police officers were wounded in the gunfire exchange.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 6.
