MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) – The State of Minnesota has temporarily shut down a family child care center in Moorhead, claiming there is an “imminent risk of harm” to the children it serves.
According to the Minnesota Dept. of Children, Youth & Families, the day care is operated by Hailey Antonson and is located at 1012 15-1/2 St. North. A temporary license suspension went into effect Saturday. The report claims that a child in Antonson’s care was left unattended.
“You are prohibited from providing family child care services You are also prohibited from operating as a legally unlicensed child care provider at this time.” The suspension says. “This immediate suspension is based on a determination that children served by your program are at an imminent risk of harm.”
The case is being investigated by Becker County Social Services due to a conflict of interest.
Antonson has five days to file a notice of appeal.
