NECHE, N.D. (KFGO) – U.S. Border Patrol in Grand Forks says agents at the Pembina station stopped a human smuggling attempt near Neche, North Dakota.
Border Patrol says agents were made aware of a vehicle traveling at high speeds southbound from the U.S. and Canada border.
They stopped the vehicle and arrested four people. Two of the people were from Belize, and in the U.S. illegally. Two U.S. citizens were also arrested, they are facing eight smuggling charges.
While searching the vehicle, border patrol agents also found cash and marijuana.
