SELFRIDGE, N.D. (KFGO) – An 83-year-old woman from Selfridge in south central North Dakota is dead after a crash with a semi on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation Tuesday.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the woman was driving west in a side-by-side on State Highway 6 about two miles east of Selfridge just after 3 p.m.
A 33-year-old Mandan man driving a semi changed lanes to pass the woman when she turned left into the lane and was hit. The woman was thrown from the side-by-side and died at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Standing Rock Ambulance and Mobridge Fire assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene of the crash.
