ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is running for a third term.
Ellison says he wants to keep Minnesota a fair state for everyone where rule of law prevails over power and privilege.
In a video released Tuesday, the Democrat says President Trump is acting like a king – violating citizen’s rights, giving tax breaks to billionaires, and cutting vital services. Ellison says he is running to continue to push back against those policies.
Ellison was first elected attorney general in 2018. He was re-elected to a second four-year term in 2022. Before becoming attorney general, Ellison served in congress where he was first elected in 2006.
Twin Cities attorney Ron Schulz is the only Republican so far to announce they are running for attorney general.
