Trooper tickets driver for 116 in 55 mph zone, driver was ‘running late’

GRENORA, N.D. (KFGO) – The driver’s excuse was “running late.”

A highway patrol trooper says a driver was stopped and cited for going 116 mph in a 55 mph zone in northwestern North Dakota. The fine was $203.

Even though it was a first violation, the citation carries a 15-point assessment against the driver’s license and suspension of driving privileges.
