FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police department says a juvenile was arrested and taken to juvenile detention early Friday morning after entering a garage and stealing a car. Police say they arrested the juvenile, who’s considered a suspect in a series of recent burglaries hours after officers were led on a search involving a stolen car.
Officers found an open garage and tire marks in the 1800 block of 18th St S just after midnight while patrolling a neighborhood and contacted the homeowners who said a burglary happened at their home.
Police say they found the juvenile about 20 minutes later in a stolen car and the juvenile fled officers after an attempted traffic stop. Officers did not pursue and monitored their whereabouts. The juvenile ran from the stolen car.
Officers found and arrested the juvenile at their home just before 3:45 a.m. Charges may include felony criminal trespass, burglary, vehicle theft and refusing to stop for police.
