ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – A suspicious letter addressed to the office of Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon was intercepted by the state Department of Administration today.
Simon’s office says the mail included a threatening letter and unidentified white powder. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is in the process of testing the powder.
This mailing is related to a series of mailings sent to election offices across the county.
Steve Simon says his office will not be deterred and will continue to support elections across the state.
