HAWLEY, MN (KVRR-KFGO) – A Hawley, Minnesota man is charged with seven counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a teen who claims she was 14 when she was first assaulted.
The teen contacted police about 20-year-old Harrison Hinz back in May to report the assaults that had occurred between June 2024 and February 2025.
During a forensic interview with Red River Children’s Advocacy Center this past June, the teen claims Hinz grabbed her rear-end and inner thigh while they were putting band equipment away at Hawley High School.
She reported other encounters with Hinz culminating in January of 2025 when she says he forced himself on her in the dressing rooms next to the school’s auditorium.
The victim told authorities she had bruises after the incident on her upper arm, shoulder, legs and private area.
A warrant for Hinz’ arrest was issued last Friday.
He made his first court appearance this morning with bond set at $25,000 with conditions.
His next hearing is set for November 5.
