HAWLEY, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) – A Hawley man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend before school Wednesday. Preston Larson, 18, is charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of domestic assault.
Court records say Larson drove up to the 17-year-old girl while she was walking and told her to get in his vehicle. When she refused, he pushed her into his vehicle.
He then drove to Buffalo State Park where the girl tried to run before Larson reportedly grabbed her again. Larson then drove to another spot and tried to take off the girl’s pants before she hit and kicked him to get him to stop. Larson also reportedly choked the girl.
The girl told police she showed Larson affection so he would drive her to school. When she got back to school, she called police. Larson told police they had been arguing but denied trying to take off the girl’s pants.
Larson could be charged with three felony counts and three misdemeanors. Larson is scheduled to be in court Wednesday.
