WASHINGTON (KFGO) – President Donald Trump approves North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong’s request for a presidential disaster declaration.
It’s for severe storms from June 7 to 9 causing nearly $3.5 million in damage. They produced tornadoes, baseball-size hail and wind up to 100 miles per hour.
Armstrong said 25,000 people went without power.
Presidential disaster declarations makes FEMA public assistance available to help cover the cost of fixing and replacing damaged infrastructure.
