MAHNOMEN, Minn. (KFGO-KVRR) – White Earth Nation is taking the next step in its process to develop a casino complex in Moorhead.
They are inviting White Earth members to an informational meeting on the federal application process and the steps involved.
It will be held on September 15 at Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen and members will be able to ask questions about the proposed development.
Tribal leadership and the project team will discuss the Bureau of Indian Affairs Fee-to-Trust application process for the project.
The presentation will also review information from the project’s Socio-Economic Impact Analysis.
The tribe purchased 280 acres near the junction of I-94 and State Highway 336 in December 2024 for $3.9 million.

The tribe says the complex would generate up to 500 jobs.
