COOPERSTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – The Griggs County Sheriff’s Office is searching for suspects in a carjacking over the weekend.
The sheriff’s office says two men tried to carjack a trailer around 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 18th street north-east and 98th avenue on the Griggs and Nelson County line. The driver of the vehicle fended off the carjackers and drove away. No weapons were used.
The suspects have been decribed as 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches middle eastern or hispanic men with short dark hair and clean shaven faces. At the time they were driving a black g-m-c SUV with a broken rear window covered by yellow plastic.
The sheriff’s office is asking the public to take caution when traveling empty gravel roads, and not stop for strangers. Anyone with information about the suspects or their vehicle is asked to contact the griggs county sheriff’s office.
