MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) – A man pulled from the Red River in Moorhead last week has been identified.
The Medical Examiner says Brent Leggitt, 29, of Williston, North Dakota died by drowning. Investigators found no signs of foul play or any other suspicious circumstances associated with his death.
Police and Fire responded to the report of a body in the river near 1st Ave N in Moorhead just before 1 a.m. last Wednesday.
Emergency crews quickly recovered the man’s body from the water and pronounced him dead.
The autopsy was done at the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office in St. Paul.
