(KNFL/KFGO) – Moorhead native and Minnesota Golden Gopher hockey commit, Wyatt Cullen, was selected 10th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2026 NHL Draft Friday evening. During the 2025-26 season, Cullen played with the US National U18 team, USNTDP(United States National Team Development Program), and the USA U18 team in the World Juniors. He is set to play at the University of Minnesota in the 2027-28 season.
Wyatt is one of three sons of three-time Stanley Cup champion Matt Cullen. The oldest son, Brooks Cullen, played with the Fargo Force in the 2025-26 season, and is also committed to play hockey at the University of Minnesota. The youngest son, Joey Cullen, helped the Moorhead Spuds win their second straight State Hockey title this year.
