BURLINGTON, N.D. (KFGO/Prairie Public) – An 84 year old Burlington man was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision west of Burlington on US Highway 2 Sunday afternoon.
Just before 2:30 p.m., an SUV driven by the man was westbound near mile marker 136, when the it crossed the median into the westbound lane and crashed head on with a pickup driven by a 68 year old Tioga woman.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene. The pickup driver suffered serious injuries, and was life-flighted to Minot.
Westbound lanes were closed for around two hours. The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
