FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO-KBRF) — Fergus Falls and Moorhead firefighters responded to a a chlorine leak at the Fergus Falls Water Treatment Plant Saturday.
The Fergus Falls Fire and Police Departments responded to the Water Treatment Plant around 9 a.m. Saturday for a reported chlorine leak. The state duty officer was contacted to initiate a response from the regional HAZMAT team.
Air monitoring confirmed there was no chlorine gas outside, so a shelter in place was not issued. Moorhead fire’s HAZMAT team responded and capped the leak.
No one was hurt.
