SHAKOPEE, Minn. (KFGO/WCCO) – One person was injured in a shooting at a prayer service in the Twin Cities suburb of Shakopee Wednesday morning. Police say they were called to a weapons complaint at Canterbury Park Expo Center where a prayer service was taking place.
When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police have not said if the shots were fired inside the Expo.
The man was taken to Hennepin Health Care. His condition has not been released. Authorities say they are actively working to identify a suspect, but no arrests have been made.
“We are actively working to identify the involved individuals,” police said in a statement. “Anyone with information should contact Shakopee Police Department at 952-445-1411.”
