(KFAN/KFGO) – The FM RedHawks and Cleburne Railroaders would face off for game six of the series Tuesday night. The RedHawks would send Kyle Crigger to the mound to face Railroaders’ Andrew Bellatti.
The Railroaders would strike first in the 2nd with an RBI single by Caleb McNeely to make it 1-0. In the bottom of the 4th inning, the Railroaders would send eight men to the plate scoring three runs off Kyle Crigger. A sacrifice fly by Cole Foster and RBI singles by Caleb McNeely and Oscar Hernandez made it 4-0 Railroaders.
In the 5th inning, the RedHawks would attempt to close the gap with the bases loaded and one out before Juan Fernandez hit into an inning ending double play. The Railroaders would add another run in the bottom of the 5th when Frankie Tostado collected his third hit of the game to plate Cody Thomas to make it 5-0.
The RedHawks would get on the board in the top of the 6th inning when Jose Sermo crushed a solo home run to make it 5-1. Sermo now has five home runs in the first six games of the season. Neither team would score after the 6th inning.
The RedHawks would score 1 run off 6 hits and 0 errors with 6 left on base. The Railroaders would score 5 runs off 10 hits and 0 errors with 8 left on base.
Winning Pitcher was Railroaders Conner Richardson (1-0) and RedHawks’ Kyle Crigger (0-1) took the loss.
