ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry is awarding $1.5 million in youth skills training grants to 17 partnerships across the state.
The money will help schools and employers expand programs that give students 16 and older hands-on career experience and paid work opportunities. The youth program focuses on high-demand fields including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, health care, and information technology.
School districts that will benefit include Breckenridge, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, Fergus Falls and Parkers Prairie.
