CHRISTINE, N.D. (KFGO) – Two women suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash in Richland County Thursday night.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says around 11:30 p.m., a cellular emergency crash detection system alerted 911 of a possible crash on County Road 81 about three miles north of Christine.
Troopers say it appears the women were traveling north in a car when the driver lost control around a curve. The car went into the ditch, vaulted, and rolled.
The 20-year-old West Fargo woman driving the car was not wearing a seat belt. She was airlifted from the scene. The 19-year-old Moorhead woman who was a passenger was transported by ambulance. Both women were taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
The Highway Patrol says the driver is facing charges of driving under the influence and criminal vehicular injury.
The Highway Patrol, Richland and Cass County Sheriff’s Offices, Christine Fire, Kindred Ambulance, and Sanford AirMed responded to the scene.
