MOORHEAD (KFGO) —An 18-year-old man will likely face charges in North Dakota and Minnesota after fleeing from the North Dakota Highway Patrol and later crashing in Moorhead.
Moorhead Police say an officer tried to stop a vehicle without a license plate late Wednesday night for speeding. The driver did not stop, and police pursued. The driver eventually crashed into the fence at the Southside Soccer Complex near the intersection of 20th St and 40th Ave S. The driver got out and told the officer he didn’t see them try to stop his car.
A North Dakota trooper confirmed the car was the same vehicle that had fled them earlier.
Mohammed Ali Ahmed, 18, was arrested for felony fleeing, reckless driving. The vehicle was impounded.
