Former boyfriend of woman shot in Mankato arrested, one victim died

MANKATO, Minn. – Authorities have released the names of the suspect and victims in a deadly shooting Sunday in Mankato.

Officers found Joshua Downey, 52, dead of multiple gunshot wounds in a bedroom. 37-year-old Rosalie Rode was found with blunt force injuries and taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police say 44-year-old Joseph Butler of Fairmont was arrested at the scene with a rifle.

Butler is an ex-boyfriend of Rode.
