STERLING, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol expects a state highway in central North Dakota to remain closed for most of Tuesday after a semi carrying hazardous materials rolled early Tuesday.
The semi was traveling on Highway 14 north of Sterling when the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The semi was hauling 8,000 gallons of a chemical used for mining. Around 3,000 gallons spilled. Detours will be in place while cleanup continues.
The semi driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck by ambulance. The driver’s name has not been released.
