Marsha Rae Counts (Grand Forks County Correctional Center)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A Cando, North Dakota woman is in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center after police say she broke into another woman’s apartment, beat her up, and robbed her.
Marsha Rae Counts was arrested on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 28. The victim says Counts and several others came into an apartment when she was sleeping.
According to Grand Forks Police, a video shows Counts hit the woman several times while she was on the floor.
Several items were stolen including a cell phone, keys, ID, credit cards, purse, jacket and other personal items. Police say some of the items have been returned, while others are still missing.
Counts is charged with robbery, burglary and three counts of theft. At an initial court hearing on Monday, bail was set at $10,000.
