FARGO (KFGO) – Court records are providing more details about a deadly stabbing outside a Fargo bar early last Thursday morning.
Investigators say a bartender at SouthTown PourHouse told them that just before the stabbing that killed 22-year-old Ethan Larson of Newfolden, Minnesota, he heard Larson and Michael Diedrich agree to go fight outside.
The bartender told the men “not tonight, boys” before watching them walk outside. The bartender went outside to break up the fight and saw Larson bent over and possibly throwing up blood.
Other witnesses were walking into the bar when Larson approached them holding his chest and saying he was stabbed.
The bartender was able to identify both men based on their credit card information.
Officers were able to identify the 28-year-old Diedrich, who was living in Fargo, as the suspect by matching his driver’s license photo to video surveillance, and a description given by witnesses.
