POLK COUNTY, Minn. (KFGO) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a teenage girl reported she was abducted. Authorities were notified about the incident at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
A local resident located the 17-year-old tied up along the side of 410 Avenue Southwest, about 10 miles south of East Grand Forks, a short distance from the Red River. The girl told investigators she was brought to where she was found.
Deputies say she was checked and medically cleared by Altru Ambulance.
The Sheriff’s Office is working to determine if there is a current threat to the public or if this is an isolated incident.
