Costco is raising its starting pay to $16 an hour.
The chief executive of the wholesale chain testified at a Senate hearing yesterday (Thursday) about raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
He said Costco, which already pays an hourly minimum of $15, had some of the highest employee retention rates of any retailer.
He also revealed that they were raising their starting salary to $16 an hour.
