The TELL

The TELL is returning to Fargo-Moorhead with the first event planned for Thursday June 13, 2024, at Cellar 624 in the lower level at 624 Main Avenue, Fargo, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m. Entry is $15, cash only. The event is for ages 18 and up.
The TELL is a live storytelling event which formerly operated in Fargo-Moorhead from October, 2012 until the pandemic, ending in February, 2020. Similar to The Moth, the Peabody Award-winning radio hour and podcast produced by Atlantic Public Media, The TELL features volunteer storytellers, drawn at random from audience volunteers, who share true stories based on the evening's theme. The event is managed by an ad hoc group of volunteers. Fiscal sponsors are the Awesome Foundation Cass Clay and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fargo Moorhead.
The new TELL will have monthly events from June through November, with plans for a second season beginning in January 2025. Winners of the monthly events will compete to be season champion at a year-end "TELL-Off" on December 12.
Cellar 624 is an accessible space in downtown Fargo. Admission is $15, cash only. Free or reduced admissions are available at patron request. The event will feature local musicians or small ensembles for musical interludes between storytellers, as well as lively Master of Ceremonies to guide the process.
