PERHAM, Minn. (KFGO) – A 65-year-old Detroit Lakes man is dead after a crash west of Perham Monday afternoon.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says the 65-year-old was riding a motorcycle westbound on Fort Thunder Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Highway 125. The motorcycle crashed into a pickup in the intersection.
The person who reported the crash and first responders tried to save the man, but he died at the scene. The 33-year-old Pelican Rapids man driving the pickup was not hurt.
The Sheriff’s Office, Perham Ambulance, and Perham Fire responded to the scene. The State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
