NORTH MANKATO, Minn. – Two people are at the Hennepin Healthcare burn center following a house fire in North Mankato early Friday morning.
Residents were still inside the home as heavy smoke and flames were coming from the second floor.
Firefighters rescued a 41-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl with severe burns. They were taken to a Mankato hospital and then airlifted to Minneapolis.
Police officers helped four others get out safely. There’s no word on the cause of the fire.
