FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — The city of Fargo hosted a public input meeting on the proposed interchange on 64th Avenue S. at I-29 Thursday.
The city is looking at three project designs to add entrance and exit ramps at the interchange. It is also studying alternatives.
Adding the interchange would relieve congestion at 52nd Avenue and I-29, which is one of the most congested in North Dakota. City leaders say that congestion will only increase.
“You got all these new developments that are going to drive people down south. And it’s just going to create that much more need to make sure that we have the proper infrastructure in place in order to accommodate everyone traveling to this area,” said Eric Hodgson, Civil Engineer for Fargo.
City leaders expect to choose the final draft by the end of this year.
