ROCHESTER, Minn. – A woman who called a young Somali child the “N” word repeatedly at a Rochester park, all of which was captured in a now-viral video, may be criminally charged. Rochester police say they’ve wrapped their investigation into the video and prosecutors are working to determine if charges will be pressed.
Identifying herself as Shiloh Hendrix on a crowdfunding website, the woman has raised over $600,000, citing the need to move on after online threats.
The NAACP Rochester branch, community members, and people online worldwide are upset by the video. A GoFundMe page for the victim has raised more than $340,000.
