WASHINGTON DC – The ranking member of the Senate Ag Committee is not concerned that the Farm Bill will become an afterthought in the new Congress.
Minnesota Democrat Amy Klobuchar says the aid package passed during the Lame Duck will help farmers through difficult financial times. Klobuchar expects the farm bill will be at the forefront because of the challenges including avian flu and other animal diseases and she says that is going to create a lot of pressure to get a farm bill done.
Klobuchar says 2025 will be a year of change with a new administration but says she’s devoted to working across the aisle.
