FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man is facing another robbery charge for allegedly taking a cell phone from a Fargo South High School student.
A criminal complaint says 21-year-old Fidele Ndaruhutse approached the student while they were walking home from school on Oct. 30. Ndaruhutse demanded the student make a call, and then took the student’s phone. Ndaruhutse told the student to provide the password and punched him in the chest. Ndaruhutse then threatened to stab the student, and told the student to walk away.
A search warrant showed the phone’s user account was changed to an email address linked to Ndaruhutse.
Ndaruhutse was arrested in November after allegedly robbing a woman after attempting to force her into sex acts. A phone found by investigators was linked to the same email used on the stolen phone. The Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office determined there was enough probable cause to charge Ndaruhutse in the October robbery.
