FARGO (KFGO) – A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper was hurt Wednesday morning while running traffic control for a tow truck on Interstate 29 in Fargo.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes just north of 52nd Avenue S.
Sgt. Kristjan Helgoe says the trooper’s vehicle had its amber lights on when an SUV rear-ended it, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
The trooper was treated for minor injuries.
The 31-year-old man driving the other vehicle was cited for failure to move over for an emergency vehicle and not having liability insurance.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
Helgoe is reminding people to drive for the conditions.
