WINSTED, Minn. – The group that runs the online investigation dedicated to Mason City, Iowa TV anchor Jodi Huisentruit, who disappeared in 1996, says it has confirmed that no human remains were found in a recent search in Minnesota.
Mason City police and other agencies recently searched near Winsted west of the Twin Cities.
Winsted’s police chief says farm animal remains were found in a former city park near construction underway at an apartment complex. Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley had said a tip prompted the search.
Huisentruit was a TV reporter in Alexandria, Minnesota before she moved to Iowa.
