MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – Minneapolis Police say a 13-year-old boy is dead after an apparent accidental shooting early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to a residence around 1:30 a.m. where the boy was suffering from a single gunshot wound. First responders tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
Investigators say a 14-year-old boy was handling a gun when the shooting happened.
The 14-year-old was still at the home when officers arrived. Chief Brian O’Hara says Minneapolis Police are familiar with both of the boys.
