NORTHFIELD, MINN. – Donald Trump and Kamala Harris both campaigned in neighboring Wisconsin on Wednesday and they’ll both be in Milwaukee on Friday. But Carleton College analyst Steven Schier says for the Gopher State, “As far as we know in their schedules, they’re not appearing in Minnesota, which suggests that Harris has the advantage.”
Schier says every poll this election season has shown Harris ahead of Trump in Minnesota with margins from three to eight percent.
He says if either Trump or Harris thought Minnesota was one of their top opportunities, at least one would be coming here in the last week of the campaign. He adds Democrats’ vice-presidential candidate, Governor Tim Walz, has no plans to be in Minnesota in the remaining days of the campaign.
