FERGUS FALLS, MINN. (KFGO) – A woman has been charged with 3rd degree murder in the drug overdose death of a man in rural Fergus Falls in early August.
Kaitlyn Carroll, 26, of Elizabeth, is accused in of supplying a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl to a 28-year-old man, who was found unresponsive in a home.
A plastic bag containing a white powder was recovered at the home. Carroll’s DNA was found on the baggie, according to the criminal complaint. Otter Tail County Sheriff’s investigators also recovered phone messages between Carroll and the man.
A 3rd degree murder conviction in Minnesota carries a maximum of 25 years prison.
