FARGO (KFGO-KVRR) – Fargo Firefighters Local 642 union was knocking on doors Thursday to spread the word about Fargo Measure 3.
Voters will decide whether to approve a quarter-cent sales tax for 20 years to help fund the Fargo Fire and Police Departments.
The union says the money could be used to build a fire station, law enforcement training center, equipment or recruiting. The Fargo City Commission would have the final word on how the money would be spent.
Fargo voters will also decide whether to approve a 20-year-long quarter-cent sales tax to improve the Fargodome and a 25-year-long 3% lodging tax on hotel rooms.
