FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man arrested after a high-speed chase in a south Fargo neighborhood will serve one year of probation after pleading guilty to fleeing police and DUI.
A judge gave Jens Tinjum a suspended sentence of 360 days in jail for fleeing and 30 days for drunken driving.
Tinjum was arrested on May 5 after a Cass County deputy clocked him driving 72 in a 25 mile per hour zone. Tinjum eventually crashed into a parked car in the 3600 block of 18th Street S. He was arrested for fleeing police, DUI test refusal, and reckless endangerment, and cited for speeding, disregarding a stop sign, and driving without insurance.
As part of the plea agreement, the reckless driving charge was dropped and the fleeing charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor.
