FARGO (KFGO) – North Dakota Highway Patrol reported a semi-truck rollover near the Main Ave exit southbound on I-29 just after 2 this morning.
The 23-year-old driver mistook the shoulder for the 13th Ave S exit and drove off the roadway. When the semi entered the ditch, the fully loaded trailer caused the semi to overturn onto its side in the west ditch.
The driver was uninjured, and the 62-year-old co-driver/passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital. Both men are from Winnipeg.
The NDHP advises caution as they work with tow services to have the truck and trailer removed. One lane of I-29 southbound was closed to allow emergency crews room to work.
