FARGO (KFGO) – The North Dakota Air National Guard will be conducting an active shooter exercise at the Air Base in north Fargo from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The Air Guard says the exercise will involve realistic scenarios and simulations with several Fargo-Moorhead first responders participating. The agencies include Fargo Police, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Red River SWAT, Fargo Fire, West Fargo Fire, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, and Sanford Ambulance.
Emergency vehicles may have lights and sirens activated, and the base will use the public address system during the exercise.
The exercise is designed to give hands-on experience in managing and mitigating an active shooter event.
