FARGO (KFGO News) – Court documents obtained by KFGO give more details on a SWAT raid in Fargo over the weekend.
Just before midnight Friday, Fargo Police responded to a call for a rape victim at a local hospital.
That victim identified 39-year-old Travis Holt as her attacker.
Court documents say the victim and Holt lived in the same apartment building in the 2600 block of 8th St. N.
The victim told police that she was lying in bed around 2 a.m. Friday when Holt broke through her door by punching it. She said Holt grabbed her and took her upstairs to his apartment. He held her at knifepoint while forcing her onto his bed.
Police say Holt used a knife to cut the clothes off the victim and then raped her.
The victim tried to fight to escape, but Holt punched her and asked “Do you want me to bust in your face?” He also stabbed the victim in the side.
After interviewing the victim, police went to the apartment while waiting for a search warrant. While waiting, Holt came out of the building. Officers told Holt to walk over to them, but he started to walk back into the building.
Holt refused the officer’s commands and went into the building. Officers noticed that he was holding a knife that matched the description of the knife the victim said Holt used when he stabbed her.
Due to Holt’s violent criminal history, officers called for a SWAT team and waited outside.
The SWAT team forced Holt’s apartment door open, and a SWAT officer shot Holt with a non-lethal round. Holt then barricaded himself in the bathroom, and officers used flash-bangs and tear gas to get him out. He was arrested just before 7 Saturday morning.
Holt is facing a list of charges, including kidnapping, rape, assault, trespassing, and meth possesion.
