GRIGGS COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – The driver of an SUV was arrested following a single vehicle crash on Highway 1, nine miles southwest of Cooperstown late Sunday night.
The State Patrol says the vehicle was southbound when the driver lost control, left the road, and went into the west ditch. He overcorrected, returned to the roadway, went into the east ditch, and then struck a power pole.
The driver, 36-year-old Casey Zuck and the passenger, 41-year-old Kandace Dwelle, were transported to Cooperstown Medical Center for treatment and later released. Both are from Jamestown.
Zuck was arrested for DUI and cited for open container of alcohol and care required.
Dwelle was cited for open container.
