LAKOTA, N.D. (KFGO) – A school counselor with the Dakota Prairie School District in northeastern North Dakota has been released after posting bail on felony charges of having sexual contact with two students.
Brendon Parsley, 47, made his first appearance in Nelson County District Court.
Parsley is charged with solicitation of a minor, luring by computer and sexual assault.
The charges were filed after a teenage girl told a state crime bureau agent that inappropriate conduct took place when she was a junior at the high school in Petersburg in the 2014-2015 school year. A second girl reported that Parsley made sexual advances toward her when she was a sophomore in 2008.
Parsley, of McVille, was placed on administrative leave last Dec. after the allegations surfaced.
His next scheduled court appearance is set for Apr. 5.
