Crew at 230 Lancaster Drive in Moorhead
MOORHEAD (KFGO) – No one was hurt, but two people were displaced after a mobile home fire in Moorhead Tuesday.
“We were called to a possible dryer on fire inside the mobile home,” Battalion Chief Justin Rosenfeldt said. “When we got onscene, [police officers] noted there was a dryer on fire right inside the side door. Our crews pulled a line (and) put the fire out. They did notice it extended a little bit into the attic right above the dryer, but they were able to get it knocked down pretty quickly.”
Rosenfeldt said damage to the mobile home at 230 Lancaster Drive was contained to the area around the dryer and just above it, but there is smoke damage throughout. He said the fire appears accidental, but an investigation is underway.
The Red Cross has been contacted to assist the two people who were displaced.
