KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – A former finance minister and key ally of ex-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad was charged on Monday with allegedly failing to comply with a notice to declare his assets under the country’s anti-corruption laws.
Daim Zainuddin was charged following an investigation by the Malaysian Aanti-Corruption Commission (MACC) into the former minister’s wealth.
