WASHINGTON (KFGO) – After two days of unsuccessful attempts to elect Rep. Jim Jordan as Speaker of the U.S. House, North Dakota congressman Kelly Armstrong is voicing his frustration.
Kevin McCarthy was removed as speaker just over two weeks ago.
“Those of us that were smart and think Kevin McCarthey did a really good job holding this thing together with Silly Putty and Duct Tape recognize what the problem was,” Armstrong said. “Whatever it takes to get this done is where we’ve got to go.”
Armstrong is upset that congress is not doing anything for the citizens right now.
“We’re sitting here in some stupid palace intrigue, which is a bunch of people pulling on old wounds,” Armstrong said.
There are several options available as the House moves forward, but what the next move will be is unclear.
Armstrong said he will vote for whoever has majority support.
